On Saturday, Melanie Hasler had to make do with 5th place in the monobob. On Sunday she managed to improve in the pair together with pusher Mara Morell. And how: The 25-year-old from Aargau, who had to recover from a thigh injury in the last few weeks, made it onto the podium.

Already positioned in third place after the first run, the duo was able to maintain this ranking in the final round thanks to a sparkling clean ride. For Hasler it is the 5th podium place in the pair (the 2nd in St. Moritz). Pusher Morell has never been on the podium in the World Cup before.

Hasler/Morell only lost 0.38 seconds to the winners Laura Nolte/Neele Schuten. The Germans caught their compatriots Lisa Buckwitz/Lauryn Siebert, who were leading at halftime, by 0.08 seconds.
