Bodies trailer: this Netflix detective series with a very original pitch is damn envious!

Driven by the creator of “Torchwood”, the Netflix series “Bodies” promises an astonishing pitch with a story of murder in four different time frames. Check out the trailer.

Four detectives from four different eras – 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053 – discover the same body in the Whitechapel district of London. This is the starting point of the Bodies series created by Paul Tomalin to whom we owe Torchwood. The first teaser unveiled by Netflix is very enticing and we can already imagine a future box.

This original concept is actually the adaptation of a graphic novel of the same name written by Si Spencer and published in 2015. During their investigations, the detectives will understand that they are at the heart of a conspiracy which extends over more than 150 years.

Connoisseurs will certainly have noted a detail: the plot takes place in the district of Whitechapel, the same district as that where Jack the Ripper committed his murders. It’s a safe bet that the series Bodies will weave a link with the famous serial killer – whose identity remains, even today, unknown.

In the cast of this eight-episode fiction, we will find Shira Haas, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Kyle Soller, Amaka Okafor and Stephen Graham.

Bodies, available on Netflix on October 19.
