Boeing: aircraft deliveries fall in first quarter

(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announced on Tuesday a sharp drop in its aircraft deliveries in the first quarter, the American manufacturer having suffered from multiple incidents that recently affected its 737 MAX.

The group based in Arlington (Virginia) indicates having delivered 83 commercial aircraft over the first three months of the year, compared to 130 over the same period of 2023.

The number of deliveries of 737 aircraft stood at 67 over the period, compared to 113 a year ago.

Boeing also said it did not record any new deliveries for the 747, nor for the 777, during the quarter.

The company is subject to increased surveillance by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) following several incidents that occurred earlier this year on its 737 MAX, including the tearing off of a door in the middle of flight on an Alaska Airlines flight.

On Wall Street, Boeing shares fell 0.3% following these announcements.
