Boeing: protocol with Ethiopian for five 777-8 Freighters

(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announced on Saturday the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Ethiopian Airlines, which thus intends to buy five 777-8 Freighters, to be able to meet the growing global demand for freight from its Addis Ababa hub.

The aircraft manufacturer recalls having launched the new 777-8 Freighter in January and has already registered 34 firm orders for this model, which integrates the advanced technology of the new 777X family and the proven performance of the 777 Freighter.

A long-time Boeing customer, Ethiopian Airlines currently operates nine 777 Freighters, as well as three 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters and a combined commercial fleet of more than 80 Boeing jets, including 737s, 767s, 787s and 777s.
