Boeing: the P-8A candidate to integrate the Canadian aviation

(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announces that it intends to present the P-8A Poseidon as a response to Canada’s request for information, as Ottawa is looking for long-range maritime patrol aircraft.

The Canadian Multi-Mission Aircraft (CMMA) project aims to replace the Royal Canadian Air Force’s current CP-140 Aurora fleet while improving its anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and intelligence, surveillance and recognition (ISR).

‘The P-8A Poseidon has demonstrated that it is the most capable multi-mission aircraft in the world currently in production and offers a complete solution for Canada’s CMMA requirements,’ said Tim Flood, Director of Development International Affairs, Europe and Americas at Boeing.

“The P-8’s range, speed and endurance make it the ideal platform for monitoring Canada’s maritime and northern approaches,” he added.
