Boeing: United Airlines will strengthen its 787 fleet

(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing and United Airlines announce that the air carrier will expand its fleet of 787 Dreamliner aircraft, by exercising options to order 50 787-9 aircraft and obtaining 50 additional options.

“The new Dreamliner order provides United Airlines additional flexibility as the airline modernizes its global fleet over the next decade,” says the aircraft manufacturer.

With 150 firm orders, United has the largest Dreamliner order book on record and is well positioned to become the world’s largest 787 operator. As a reminder, it made a record purchase of 100 787 planes last year.
