Boeing: unveils US Air Force trainer

(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing unveiled today, before its official delivery to the US Air Force, the T-7A Red Hawk, the first of 351 advanced training aircraft that the US Air Force plans to order.

Entirely digitally designed, the aircraft was developed on ‘agile’ software, significantly reducing the time between design and first flight.

“The aircraft also features open-architecture software, providing growth and flexibility to meet future mission needs,” the aircraft manufacturer said.

“This aircraft is a concrete example of how Boeing, its suppliers and partners are leading the digital engineering revolution. The T-7A will prepare pilots for future missions for decades to come,” summarizes Ted Colbert, CEO. of Boeing Defense, Space & Security.
