(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announces this evening that its teams have recently demonstrated a new autonomous technology capable of successfully preventing jamming attempts targeting satellite communications (SATCOM) of the United States Department of Defense.
The test was performed on a US Space Force Protected Tactical Prototype (PTS-P), demonstrating how this technology can provide secure communication in contested environments.
“Our adversaries are always trying to rob us of our ability to communicate,” says Justin Bruner, PTS-P program manager at the US Space Force. Therefore, ‘maintaining communication with our forces deployed in a conflict gives us a tactical advantage on the battlefield,’ he says.
