A symbol in the fight against AIDS

M6 had broadcast Bohemian Rhapsody on December 1, on the occasion of the world day of the fight against the AIDS and the 30 years of the disappearance of a major singer. At the end of the feature film, viewers had discovered the singer’s life in a documentary, The Great Pretender. Directed by Rhys Thomas, the report focuses primarily on the solo career of Freddie mercury. But also his albums, his passion for opera and his many collaborations.

Freddie mercury died on November 24, 1991 in London, at the age of 45, from pneumonia. The star had just revealed that he had HIV.
