Boho dresses exude romance en masse. The lightness of the cuts, the many different colors, patterns and cuts give you a lot of creative freedom. We will now introduce you to the models we cannot get enough of in summer and autumn 2023.
Boho dresses are perfect for anyone who has a romantic, but at the same time relaxed style of clothing prefer. Because in addition to playful flounces, floral patterns and ruffles, boho dresses are usually also characterized by a wide cut and airy materials. This gives us enough freedom of movement and does not restrict us in any way. A wonderful combination! We took a look around for you and found many beautiful models with which you can be dressed just as appropriately in (late) summer as in autumn. You only have to adapt the accessories to the respective weather if necessary.
Boho dresses: The perfect dress for summer AND fall
If you think of boho dresses, you probably have a long, colorful dress with an extravagant skirt in mind. You can’t go wrong with that either. Nevertheless, there is now a much wider range of boho dresses that can enrich our wardrobes. A boho dress can also be very short or in dark, muted colors to convey the desired bohemian vibe. So what characterizes a boho dress?
- relaxed cut: Whether short or long doesn’t matter with a boho dress. Only the width matters. It usually gets wider at the hips at the latest.
- playful details: There is hardly a boho dress without playful flowers, flounces, embroidery or crochet. These features give the boho dresses the romantic charm and are simply part of it.
- Pattern: Monochromatic outfits are not among the dominant looks in boho style (although natural-colored linen dresses can be an exception here). Rather, things can get a bit wilder here and teeming with flowers, amorphous shapes and colorful color combinations.
- Exceptions: Neither bright colors nor wild patterns have to be used in this classic boho style – the crochet dress. This type of boho dress impresses solely with the material or the workmanship.

1. Short boho dresses
With a short boho dress you can not only show some leg, but also create many beautiful outfits. In summer, of course, sandals or other light shoes go best with this. In autumn you can also combine rough cowboy boots and a matching (fake) leather jacket. Above all Boho dresses in darker colors are in this case all-rounder and extremely changeable.
2. Long boho dresses
A long boho dress shines that Maximum boho flair out of. If you choose a model that is opaque, you can wear it with thicker tights or thermal leggings in autumn (and even winter). Add a warm cardigan or a denim jacket and the outfit is complete. If you want something more elegant, you can also combine an oversize blazer with a boho dress. This sometimes even makes the dress suitable for the office.
3. Crochet Dresses
Crochet dresses are clearly only for the summer. We don’t even have to try to combine thick tights or thick cardigans in autumn. When temperatures allow, a crochet dress is one way to go absolute highlight. Far away from the beach, you can wear these boho dresses very well with a Combine cycling shorts and choose a matching sports bra. (Fake) leather sandals are recommended for everyday wear, while rough boots can also break the style in the club in the evenings. However, filigree strappy shoes exude more boho charm.
