Datafolha’s survey shows that Lula enjoys 45% of readers’ support compared to 32% for Bolsonaro in the first round of the election scheduled for October 2, compared to 47% and 32% respectively in the previous poll.
In an expected second round, Lula would be read with 53% of the vote to Bolsonaro’s 38%, a gap of 15 percentage points from 17 two weeks ago, according to the poll.
Datafolha interviewed 5,734 people in person between August 30 and September 1. The poll’s margin of error is 2 percentage points up or down.
