The Euroairport Basel-Mulhouse has been temporarily evacuated again due to a bomb scare. Flight operations were temporarily suspended.
French authorities lifted the alarm late in the afternoon.
The airport operations have reopened and airport operations are continually being ramped up, according to the Euroairport website.
The terminal was evacuated for security reasons in the early afternoon following a bomb threat. Various flights to and from Basel had to be canceled or rerouted. The French authorities reported a bomb scare on X (formerly Twitter). According to the Basel transport company, bus line 50 to the airport was interrupted.
A bomb threat had already caused a disruption to airport operations for around six hours on Thursday. The passengers were transported away from the site by bus. It was a false alarm.

There were once again bomb threats in France on Friday against twelve regional airports and the Palace of Versailles near Paris. As the newspaper “Le Parisien” reported, citing the Civil Aviation Authority, the threats against the airports were consistent with those in recent days.
