Booder is a miracle. Born in the 1970s in Morocco, the comedian was suffering from a serious illness that could well have killed him. Usually reluctant to confide in his health, Booder agreed to talk about his young years in 50 minutes inside this Saturday, February 12. “I’m living my second life”, he first confided to Nikos Aliagas, assuring that he should not “not be there”. And to remember his birth, to “the summer of 1978 in a Moroccan village”. “I had very acute bronchiolitis. I had a lot of trouble breathing. I had very severe asthma.told Booder, very moved. At that time and in that village, we did not know about these diseases. The doctor who was also a mechanic, electrician, when he saw me, he said to my mother: ‘This child will not survive the winter’.”
And the doctor was wrong. Helped by his parents, Booder left his native country to go to France. “My dad was in France. He was working here and my mom told him about the doctor’s concerns. My dad said, ‘No, this child is going to live, I’ll take you back to France.’ “Necker Hospital. Seeing my mother happy to see her child live was my charger”told the comedian again on the antenna of TF1. Years later, and now in perfect health, Booder paid a beautiful tribute to his parents who saved his life. “I am a fan, I admire my parents because they are my heroes. They made me who I am today”he admitted, upset.
Booder: “I saw my life go by”
Having become a father in turn a few years ago, Booder was also particularly worried about his son. “I focused on him, especially since he had repeated bronchitis. At the time, I saw my life go by, convinced that he would spend his childhood, like me, with lung problems”confided the comedian, of whom we know nothing of the private life, in the columns of Public in 2020. With the Parisianhe told with a lot of humor, the remarks he wipes on his physique. “Drunk guys take me for a pelican, babies for modeling clay, he was amused. It is my working tool. I have no complex. It’s also fine with girls, I’ve always managed to make myself accepted as I am. I don’t want to scare the kids, I want to make them laugh.”
