Provincial Councilor Markus Achleitner (VP) thinks the planned opening for restaurants, hotels and leisure activities on May 19 is “good and right”. Upper Austria has already done preparatory work for the necessary guest registration and has its own app for the mobile phone at the start.
Since the opening date was announced, the bookings in the local businesses have started – the “Krone” reported in advance. Even if the exact regulation is not yet available, Upper Austria is already well prepared. Every catering establishment must present a prevention concept.
“Test and Go”
“Test and Go” is the motto for this. “We used the time and prepared a digital solution for guest registration in the form of a web-based app with a QR code. The further technical development has been completed and tested, ”explains Provincial Councilor Achleitner.
Green pass for guests from abroad
The “myVisitApp” is provided free of charge by Upper Austria Tourism. They did not want to wait for a uniform solution throughout Austria. For foreign guests, the Green Passport is used, which should be valid throughout the EU.
