Boosted by the dynamism of its digital marketing activities in the first half – 08/29/2022 at 08:32

(AOF) – The Dékuplé group, specializing in cross-channel data marketing and ADLPartner’s commercial brand, recorded a turnover of 89.1 million euros, up 17.9% in the first half of 2022. This increase was stimulated by the strong momentum of digital marketing activities (+46.3%). The group’s gross margin amounted to 72.0 million euros and rose by +12.6% compared to the previous year.

Its digital marketing activities, which represent 50.8% of consolidated revenue compared to 40.9% a year ago, confirmed their strong growth with rising sales driven by the dynamism of the data marketing market and the growing attractiveness of the company’s multi-expert consulting and engineering offerings to improve the marketing and business performance of brands.

Its portfolio activities remain solid despite an unfavorable environment. The Magazines business, down 4% on a high basis of comparison, was marked by a drop in commercial returns. But this was partially offset by the increase in magazine press prices. At the same time, the Insurance business continued to roll out with growth of +27%, driven by the integration of the strategic assets of InsurTech Qape – Kovers since the end of 2021 and the expansion of the health insurance offer.

Despite the uncertainties linked to the global economic context, Dékuplé, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is maintaining the course of its “Ambition 2025” strategy aimed at becoming a European leader in data marketing. The group’s solid financial resources enable it to support aggressive growth in digital marketing in order to strengthen its positions there, while continuing to invest in its portfolio activities that generate recurring revenue.

For the record, Dékuplé achieved 164.3 million euros in turnover in 2021. Present in France, Spain, Portugal and China, the group employs more than 700 people.

French players well positioned in audiovisual production

Among the independent players, the Frenchman Banijay is the world leader with an expected turnover of 3 billion euros in 2022 in a market which represents 100 billion in revenue. Mediawan (backed by the KKR fund), whose turnover amounts to 1 billion euros, is the other main French player in the sector. The market is still very fragmented because according to the European Audiovisual Observatory, the top twenty production groups were responsible for only 38% of titles created in 2020. However, experts believe that the sector has entered a phase consolidation. Thus Banijay’s stock market listing aims to enable it to better participate in this movement.
