The association
North America Gas Heat Pump Collaborative
(NAGHPC), which includes energy players representing 33% of residential natural gas consumers in U.S. and Canadian territories, renewed its support for BOOSTHEAT to accelerate product development and explore ways to bring their unique technology in the North American market. This mark of interest in BOOSTHEAT technology thus confirms the desire of American players in the sector to promote breakthrough solutions.
Founded in 2019, NAGHPC is a group of seventeen gas or dual-fuel utilities, whose mission is to develop and facilitate the adoption of gas-fired heat pump technologies in North America.
This support could take the form of sharing North American market information, liaising with major manufacturers, and/or integrating with energy efficiency programs within NAGHPC members at as they develop. This support could also include the possibility of pre-market and/or trial pilots, as well as raising awareness of policy makers and training of equipment installers and contractors.
The NAGHPC is currently focusing on two technological applications that could be served by BOOSTHEAT technology: highly carbon-free solutions for the production of heating and domestic hot water in buildings.
The alliance with such a partner is an opportunity for BOOSTHEAT to deepen its knowledge of the North American market and open up to a vast market.
I A BRAND OF INDUSTRIAL INTEREST IN COLD-GENERATING THERMAL COMPRESSION
Sapaic Industries (Bernard Motors), with whom BOOSTHEAT has been in contact for several years, has renewed its interest in setting up an energy-efficient solution, which can be based on the coupling of the patented BOOSTHEAT thermal compressor and ensuring recovery of the unavoidable energy of a carbon-free 42 L engine (a hydrogen/CH4 mix) of 1,000 KW or a generator set of up to 10 MW from Sapaic Industries (Bernard Motors), to generate cold.
Created in 1920, Sapaic Industries (Bernard Motors) is the only operational French manufacturer capable of supplying in its category heat engines and specific groups intended for Industry, large stationary generator sets, off-grid mini-electric power stations coupled with the production of renewable electricity as well as on-board generators supplying electricity to electrified boats for the decarbonisation of heavy mobility (including trains and boats/barges for rivers).
With its expertise and experience deployed in developing its thermodynamic heat pump, BOOSTHEAT would provide proof of concepts to demonstrate the relevance of thermal compression to generate cold. This collaboration should be able to result in 2024 on a “cost-effective” technology

I THE POTENTIAL OF THERMAL COMPRESSION SUPPORTED BY CETIAT
At the same time, CETIAT (Technical Center for Aeraulic and Thermal Industries), BOOSTHEAT’s partner for several years as part of its performance measurement campaigns, is renewing its interest in BOOSTHEAT technology.
Programs of experiments and digital simulations will be carried out together to explore in particular the use of waste heat as a primary source of energy, the benefits of coupling with an electric compressor and the use of an optimized refrigerant.
CETIAT emphasizes its marked interest in this technology in the context of its energy transition activities in connection with biomass, recovery, storage or transformation of energy.
