Sorare, the hottest French unicorn in the French Tech ecosystem, is partnering with 11 Ligue 2 clubs and plans to launch a new competition bringing together Europe’s second divisions.
From this 2022/23 season, Sorare becomes an exclusive and long-term partner of 11 Ligue 2 clubs. Players will thus be able to buy cards from footballers playing in Amiens, Bastia, Bordeaux, Dijon, Caen, Rodez, Guingamp, Sochaux, Grenoble and Paris FC. Sorare plans to announce partnerships with other Ligue 2 clubs in the coming weeks.
These launches are part of Sorare’s strategy to develop the attractiveness of the European second divisions. The French leader in fantasy football will thus set up a competition called “Second Division Europe”. It will allow Sorare to appeal to smaller budgets, given that Ligue 2 player cards will logically cost less, on average, than those of Ligue 1 footballers.
