Triangle, a French speaker manufacturer based in Soissons, has just unveiled its new baby: the Borea BR10. These come to cover the Borea range which brings together the most affordable Hi-Fi speaker models from Triangle, an ideal range for getting your first foot in the world of Hi-Fi or home cinema at a lower cost. The Borea BR10 are now the largest speakers in the range and promise better extension in the low frequencies as well as greater power than the other models in the range.

These new speakers are therefore the largest in the Borea range with a size of 24.5 x 111 x 38 cm, without base, and a weight of 27.7 kg per unit. You will therefore have to find a special place for them in your interior. They also feature the sleek design and the same quality of cabinetry as its little sisters but also the DVAS system limiting vibrations caused by the coming and going of the bass speakers.

Larger speakers for even more bass and power

Fans of big shows should be delighted with these new Borea BR10s. In fact, they are equipped with two imposing 21 cm fiberglass bass drivers, whereas the model below (BR09) makes do with 16 cm drivers. This gain in size gives the Borea BR10 better extension in the bass but also greater power which may be suitable for rooms of more than 30 m². Triangle also indicates that it has adjusted the motorization and designed a new bowl to support these new speakers. A new suspension system has also been equipped to allow better travel of the membrane.

In addition to these new speakers, the Borea BR10 uses the 25 mm EFS tweeter and the 16 cm midrange driver found on the other models in the range. Here is a list of some of the technical specifications relating to the speakers:

  • Number of channels: 3
  • Bandwidth: 30 Hz – 22 kHz
  • Sensitivity: 92 dB
  • Allowable power: 200 W
  • Nominal impedance: 8 ohms

A new filtering system to allow bi-amplification

The Borea BR10 also welcome a new filter stage allowing the bass to be separated from the mids/treble as well as a system with 4 terminal blocks (screw and banana) on its rear. It is thus possible to carry out bi-wiring and bi-amplification if you wish and therefore to power the bass part and the mid/treble part separately.

The Borea BR10 are already available in black, white, walnut or light oak at a price of €1,499 per pair.
