Boris Johnson: Prime Minister is not attached to a ventilator

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (55) is currently not receiving artificial ventilation in the intensive care unit of St. Thomas Hospital in London due to his Covid 19 disease. This was reported by cabinet member Michael Grove on Tuesday morning according to "The Guardian" in a radio interview. Johnson had been brought close to the devices for safety, but at the moment only received supportive oxygen, breathed independently and was fully conscious.

Johnson was transferred from the normal ward to the intensive care unit on Monday evening because he was getting worse and worse. His pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds (32) must not be with her partner in the intensive care unit, as the "Daily Mail" reports. Due to the self-imposed strict quarantine, the two have not seen each other for around two weeks. Symonds had suffered from corona symptoms himself and was therefore spending the last few days with her mother.
