A week ago, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie became parents for the second time. Now the name of her daughter has been revealed – and it has three touching meanings.
A week ago, Boris Johnson, 57, became a father again. UK Prime Minister’s wife Carrie Johnson, 33, gave birth to a baby girl in a central London hospital on December 9, 2021. According to the British Daily Mail, this is what a spokeswoman for the couple announced.
However, the new parents kept their daughter’s name to themselves – until now. Carrie has now betrayed him on her private Instagram account – and he has three touching meanings.

The second baby of Boris Johnson and his wife is called “Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson”. This is what Carrie writes about a photo of her newly hatched daughter. According to Boris’ wife, the first name “Romy” is a tribute to her aunt Rosemary. Her third first name, “Charlotte”, is said to remember the Prime Minister’s mother, Charlotte Johnson Wahl, who died earlier this year. And “Iris” means “rainbow” in Greek – possibly a reference to Carrie’s rainbow child?

At the beginning of the year, the politician and his wife had to cope with a miscarriage. Now they can look forward to their second child together.
“The Prime Minister and Ms. Johnson are pleased to announce the birth of a healthy girl in a London hospital. The mother and daughter are doing very well. The couple would like to thank the excellent NHS delivery team for all their care and support,” it said in the press release.
The couple already have a son, Wilfred, who was born in the same London hospital in April 2020. The British Prime Minister has been married to Carrie Johnson since May 2021.

Johnson is now a father of seven. He has four children from his previous marriage to ex-wife and lawyer Marina Wheeler.
