(Reuters) – Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced on Friday that she would engage the government’s responsibility for the fourth part of the finance bill (PLF) for 2023, minutes after the rejection of a motion of no confidence tabled by the Insubordinate France (LFI).

This is the sixth time that Elisabeth Borne has used Article 49.3 of the Constitution to have the Social Security budget adopted by the National Assembly.

The motion of censure tabled by LFI had received only 85 votes out of the 289 required for its adoption, the third part of the finance bill (PLF) for 2023 is therefore considered adopted.
