After allowing display customization in 2023, Bosch is introducing a new “Dynamic Display”. On a flat course, the Smart System shows the small speedometer, distance, and remaining range depending on the assistance modes.

Previously, assistance modes were set by the electric bike manufacturer, although you could customize each of them in the eBike Flow app. Now you can choose any modes, up to four at most.
Thus, your VTTAE equipped with a CX Performance engine can be rid of Eco mode if you wish, while a VTC could prefer two Tour and Tour+ instead of Auto mode. In short, an à la carte choice which brings more freedom to the user.
Finally, an accessory functionality for speedbikes makes it possible to limit the electric bike to 25 km/h (compared to 45 km/h) on demand. This is possible thanks to a specific “Limit” assistance mode, which is however not customizable by the user, and which does not allow you to use cycle paths.
A Kiox screen with heart
For athletes, whether on the road or on an e-MTB, heart rate is important to control your effort. Bosch now integrates it into the eBike Flow application and on the screen, by associating its watch or connected bracelet. This only concerns Kiox 300 and 500 screens (3 and 5 inches).
Bosch also offers a new “Height Profile” mode, with which “VAE users are always informed of the progress of their excursion“. It allows you to be informed “if the hardest climb of the excursion has already been completed or if it is on the horizon“. The Kiox screens are once again responsible for displaying the current elevation profile as well as your current position.
