This Monday, Bose presented its new mid-range soundbar, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600. As its name suggests, this new soundbar completes the American manufacturer’s offer, alongside the Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 700 and Bose Smart Soundbar 300.

This new soundbar is therefore positioned in the mid-range with an all-in-one system integrating five speakers. We are therefore entitled to a central transducer, two side transducers of 5 x 10 cm, responsible for reproducing an effect surroundand two speakers facing the top of the bar for vertical sound reproduction.

We can therefore analyze the sound rendering as a 5.0.2, even if Bose does not give details as to the distribution of voices given the proposed virtualization. For dimensions, the Bose soundbar is rather compact with a format of 5.61 cm in height, 10.39 cm in depth and 69 cm in length.

As on the Bose Smart Soundbar 900, the new Bose Smart Soundbar 600 incorporates compatibility with Dolby Atmos for sound spatialization. It also embeds a virtualization technology surround stereo sources called TrueSpace. Like what some wireless headphones offer, this function will make it possible to analyze stereo content to render it in a 360-degree 3D rendering using Dolby Atmos and the five integrated speakers.

Full wired and wireless connectivity

Regarding other features, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 can rely on the SimpleSync system to pair the soundbar to Bose speakers or headphones. There is also compatibility with Alexa – usable directly on the soundbar – and with Google Assistant – usable from a compatible speaker.

For connectivity, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 benefits from Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, a Chromecast function and Spotify Connect. The soundbar also benefits from an HDMI eARC connection and a Toslink optical audio input. Note also that Bose provides a remote control with its soundbar, but does not allow you to calibrate it according to your room as is the case with the Smart Soundbar 900.

The Bose Smart SoundBar 600 will be priced at 549.95 euros. It will be available for sale from October 24.
