At 56, Samuel Le Bihan is the proud father of three children: Jules (26), Angia (10) and Emma-Rose (3). Guest at the microphone of the podcast parents first, of Télé-Loisirs, it is with emotion that the actor evoked the sole custody of his daughter, Angia, suffering from autistic disorders. “The judge decided that I would have full custody. I didn’t decide anything, I didn’t ask for anything. I walked out of the judge’s office dazed because I was in a panic. I said to myself: ‘But what am I going to do? I’m not at all equipped for that.’ In addition, my job requires me to move constantly. What am I going to do ? How am I going to manage? How am I going to organize myself? She was five years old at that time. I see myself in the square with her, both completely clueless… And I’m really let go, saying to myself: ‘But what am I going to do?’“, he recalled.

Overwhelmed, Samuel Le Bihan then made a radical decision! He indeed explained:There, I decide to go on a trip. We leave and we go to Indonesia, to Bali, then to the Caribbean, to the United States, to Brazil… I’m going to travel again and it does him good! In any case, it brings us closer, it allows me to learn how it works, to know what to bring to it. I did the opposite, autistic children need a routine, a framework. My daughter like the others, needs a framework that reassures her (…) It’s the opposite, everything is jostling, everything is turning and there is only one thing that does not move, that is me .“If the actor is a present dad and does everything to make his eldest daughter happy, he revealed that the latter had difficulty accepting her difference. “She typed my name on the internet and saw that I referred to her as my autistic child. She was extremely hurt and didn’t want to come to terms with being autistic. I try to make her understand that it’s a strength“, he assured.

Today, the actor is proud of the course of Angia, who will return to college next September. In a relationship for a few months with the Spanish model Stefania Christian, Samuel Le Bihan assured that his eldest daughter got along well with the latter. “I was certain of the person I had met. I knew he was a good person and he just had to be helped. I also have my responsibility to ensure that the link is made in the right direction. You have to accompany, you have to help, because everyone is a little intimidated. So it’s up to me to create the opportunities to make it happy for everyone“, he confided before adding: “It was fun, we went out, we had fun. It’s up to me to help with that, they must not be left to their own devices. Corn like I knew he was a good person and that my daughter would inevitably feel it, it happened very naturally.“
