It is a drama similar to a feminicide which shook the town of Bourgoin-Jallieu, located a few kilometers from Lyon (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), since the lifeless body of a woman was discovered in the night. from Saturday to Sunday May 8.
According to the press release issued by the Public Prosecutor, Dietlind Baudoin, “on May 7, 2022, at 11:40 p.m., the police services were called after the discovery of a three-year-old child left alone in a car parked in Bourgoin Jallieu. The father of this child had called his own mother to pick him up at a place he told her”.
However, a few minutes later, at “12:11 a.m.” more precisely, on May 8, 2022, the firefighters of the Lyon brigade received “a telephone call indicating the presence of a body in a vehicle parked near the Saint Luke Saint Joseph Hospital”.
Already a victim of domestic violence
Rescuers then discovered the inert body of a 26-year-old woman. “It is the mother of the child left in a car in a parking lot in Bourgoin-Jallieu”, detailed the Prosecutor before specifying that the young woman “had already been the victim of domestic violence by the same man”.
Subsequently, the father of the child and ex-companion of the mother, went this Sunday “at 11:40 am, to the judicial police of Lyon”. The 32-year-old man was immediately taken into custody.
An investigation was opened for “domestic homicide, a crime punishable by life imprisonment, and was entrusted to the judicial police of Lyon”, in association with the police station of Bourgoin-Jallieu.
