Boursorama democratizes real estate crowdfunding

Boursorama Banque customers can now invest, free of charge, in Homunity’s property crowdfunding programs.

Boursorama Banque is continuing its work to democratize stock market investments. Last February, the online bank launched Boursomarkets, a brokerage platform free of charge and without conditions, intended in particular for young investors. The latter is enriched witha new asset class: real estate crowdfunding.

Since May 17, stockbrokers can invest in real estate development programs selected by Homunity, participatory investment advisor (CIP), presented as the French leader in platforms of its kind. A way for Boursomarkets users to diversify their investments on the stock market by investing part of their savings in concrete real estate projects, of short duration (2 years on average), with an attractive potential return, announces a press release from online banking . The offer is 100% online, free of charge and accessible from 1000 euros of investment.

Real estate crowdfunding is on the rise. The various platforms have collected more than one billion euros in 2021. A record amount, driven by a posted rate of return exceeding 9%, according to figures from Fundimmo. Be careful though: this is a risk asset. To limit them, Boursorama recommends diversifying the portion of its savings dedicated to real estate crowdfunding across several projects and developers.

Online banking is taking the opportunity to announce a first in France. As provided for by the Pacte Law, its customers will be able to place their investment in their PEA-PME and thus benefit from the advantageous taxation of this envelope, since capital gains are exempt from income tax after the plan has been held for 5 years. A feature that will be open, promises Boursorama, in the coming weeks.
