Bouygues Telecom saw its turnover increase by 13% in 2021


BRIEF // Positive results for Bouygues Telecom at the end of 2021. The operator’s EBITDA after rents came to 1.6 billion euros, up 7%.

Operators are moving forward again after a year 2020 disrupted by the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. Illustration with Bouygues Telecom, which achieved a turnover of 7.3 billion euros last year, up 13%. As for EBITDA after rents, its main indicator of profitability, it came out at 1.6 billion euros, up 7%. By way of comparison, Orange saw its revenues grow timidly by 0.8% in 2021, to 42.5 billion euros. As for the Ebitda after rents of the group of Stéphane Richard, it fell by 0.5%, to 12.6 billion euros.

For Bouygues Telecom, 2021 was marked in particular by the acquisition of the five mobile brands of Crédit Mutuel (Auchan Mobile, NRJ Mobile, Cdiscount Mobile, Crédit Mutuel Mobile and CIC Mobile), which enabled the operator to recover 2 .1 million additional customers to bring its customer base to 14.8 million. In the mobile segment, Bouygues Telecom also won 569,000 new customers. The increase is even greater on the fixed line, with 718,000 more fiber subscribers. The group now has 2.3 million fiber customers within a total fixed base of 4.4 million customers.
