The TikTok trend “Bow and Arrow” makes botox for the lips obsolete. With this lightning method, beauty fans can now conjure up full lips.
Using YouTube, Pinterest or Instagram for beauty inspiration is a thing of the past. Today, TikTok is the social media platform when it comes to makeup and makeup tips. At the moment, all beauty fans are mainly into one trick: “Bow and Arrow”!
This beauty hack was invented by influencer Huda Kattan. In a matter of seconds, the 38-year-old promises fuller lips with her “bow and arrow” trick. And that really works. All you need for a beautiful pout is a creamy contouring palette, a slightly darker, creamy lip liner and a matte, light lip gloss.
This is how the “bow and arrow” trick works
And this is how it works: With an extra narrow brush and a color top from the contouring palette, paint an arrow above Cupid’s bow. In the same color, use a thin brush to draw an arc or semicircle below the lower lip. Hence the name of the trend: “Bow and Arrow”.
Next we need the creamy and slightly darker lip liner. The whole thing is repeated directly on the lips. That means you draw an arrow on the upper lip and a semicircle on the lower lip. The contours above and below the lip are then gently blended together. The finish is a matt, light lip gloss or a liquid lipstick.
