And Puss in Boots 2, despite a reduction in the number of its copies, managed the feat of losing only 1% of its revenue compared to last week, and took advantage of the weekend to exceed the 100 million mark.
The 149 of the first opus will undoubtedly be difficult to get. But this one was released when the Shrek saga had just bowed out. It was much more anticipated than this second episode, which finally surprised and seems to benefit from more than positive word-of-mouth.
The Dreamworks cat who is not the only one to do well, since Marvel’s panther is part of the Top 10 for the tenth consecutive week. Ranked seventh, behind the new releases Mayday and House Party, Wakanda Forever will also struggle to match the score of its predecessor, especially with an arrival on Disney+ scheduled for February 1 in the United States.
