Anatomy of a fall dislodges Denzel Washington from the top spot at the French box office! The 2023 Palme d’Or attracts nearly 200,000 new curious people, bringing its total to 800,000 entries. It is now Justine Triet’s biggest success, ahead of Victoria and her more than 650,000 entries. For his part, Equalizer 3 is holding up well, exceeding 500,000 tickets sold for its 2nd week of operation.
Toni with family, a new feature film directed by Camille Cottin, made a strong entry into the ranking, bringing together 120,000 spectators. The film ejects barbie from the podium, who finds himself 4th, accumulating 5.7 million torn tickets. Greta Gerwig’s work will not be able to win the champion of the year 2023, Super Mario, and his 7.2 million fans.
Visions, a thriller directed by Yann Gozlan, got off to a rather timid start with 100,000 admissions. His previous feature film, Black Box, brought together 292,000 curious people during its first week in theaters in September 2021.
In 6th place, with 4.27 million spectators at the end of its 8th week, Oppenheimer became the 4th highest score of 2023 in France ahead of Alibi.com 2.
