Surprise in the box office of the week! With bite and losers! Martin Scorsese is not the first. But who tops the top 10?

School holidays oblige, it’s an animated family film which tops the box office of the week. PAW Patrol: The Super Patrol the Movie is in the lead for the 2nd consecutive week, and exceeds one million cumulative entries. A great performance, boosted by the children and family audience, which were more numerous during this period. Trolls 3 also a hit, taking 3rd place, and its 419,824. This is certainly lower than Les Trolls 1, but almost equal to the score of Les Trolls 2, which ended its career at just over a million of entries, in the complicated context of 2020. These two films should fully benefit from the two weeks of vacation.
These results are still a surprise, since if we refer to the ranking published at the end of the weekend, the first two places were occupied by two of the most anticipated new releases of the week: the new film from the directors of ‘Intouchables, Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, A difficult yearbut also and above all, the latest Martin Scorsese, bringing together Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, Killers Of The Flower Moon.
A Difficult Year is 2nd and achieves the 5th best start of the tandem, in front of Telement Closes and behind Hors Normes.
Scorsese’s film is even ahead of Trolls 3 which takes 3rd place in the ranking, and Killers Of The Flower Moon has to settle for 4th place. Let us point out that the latter, due to its long duration (3h36) has mathematically fewer sessions per day. The performance therefore remains very good. The launch is between Casino and Hugo.
The rest of this Top 10 is made up of continuations, and some of them are showing good resistance, undoubtedly also favored by the context of school holidays. So, The Animal Kingdom is in 5th place (+ 3%), and Bernadette is 7th (- 9%).
