BOX-OFFICE FROM 12 TO 18 OCTOBER 2022: THE TOP 10

TO REMEMBER

simone, the biopic carried by Elsa Zylberstein, takes first place at the box office in France. With 486,242 admissions, it is ahead of November with Jean Dujardin. The feature film by Cédric Jimenez on the attacks of November 13, 2015 attracts 429,138 people for its 2nd week of operation. It thus passed the fateful milestone of one million admissions.

By way of comparison, the filmmaker’s previous film, Bac Nord, posted a score of 483,381 tickets sold in the first week. At this rate, Novembre will surely exceed the 2.2 million spectators gathered by Bac Nord in 2021.

Two new products arrive in 3rd and 4th place: these are Jack Mimounthe adventure comedy by Malik Bentalha, and The Innocent, directed by Louis Garrel. In 5th place, the horror film Halloween Ends brings together more than 180,000 horror film fans.

It performs better than the second installment, Halloween Kills (128,698 admissions when it was released in 2021). The record of the first opus will not be exceeded. It had attracted more than 400,000 spectators for its first week of operation in 2018.

Another horrifying work is holding up well: Smile. With 186,070 tickets sold in the 3rd week, it posted a score of 656,518 admissions. A great feat for this modest horror production.

In 10th position, big fall for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which was 3rd last week. With 83,000 new fans, Broly’s sequel passes the 300,000 admissions mark. Reaching the 574,000 spectators of the first episode seems complicated.
