Thor 4 continues its race in the lead, The Minions 2 and Ducobu 4 are on the podium of this weekly ranking, monopolized almost exclusively by sequels / franchises.
BOX-OFFICE FROM JULY 13 TO 19, 2022: THE TOP 10
TO REMEMBER
Thor Love and Thunder, released on July 13, is continuing its strong momentum: it attracts just over 500,000 additional spectators this week, ie a total of 1.72 million admissions. If Thor 4 remains well attached to the first place, it still loses 50% of its spectators in the space of a week.
Minions 2 demonstrate excellent stability: only -20% drop. The animated film imagined by Illumination studios exceeds 2.5 million admissions this week. As a reminder, The Minions 1 ended their career with 6.58 million admissions, the 2nd highest score of 2015, behind Star Wars episode 7.
Very good stability also for Top Gun Maverick (-7%, and 195,772 more admissions) and two French comedies: Ducobu President and Liar, respectively 3rd and 5th this week, only lost 14% and 21% of their audience. Ducobu President! totals 550,000 entries, while Liar is approaching 450,000 (433,501 entries).
Shy start for Happy Retirement 2which fails to match the good start of its first installment: 477,116 for the 1st opus at the end of its first week in November 2019, versus 155,491 admissions for this sequel shot in Portugal.
Elvis crosses the million mark
Few new in the Top 10 this week. Besides Joyeuse Retraite 2, only As Bestas is in 9th position, with a score very close to another thriller, La Nuit du 12, which is close to the top 10 (11th). It’s a cold shower for Pierre Savadori’s La Petite Bande (only 43,260 admissions in one week).
On the continuation side, Elvis has been a millionaire since this weekend! It displays a total of 1,015,574 admissions since its release on June 22.
Jurassic World 3 and Buzz Lightningcontinue to stay in the top 10, respectively 8th and 7th this week.
