Box office France: Transformers 7 stronger than Spider-Man

Transformers 7 is close to 500,000 admissions for its first week in theaters in France. The film takes pole position, ahead of the Spider-Verse of Spider-Man, which will cross the million admissions in total, just like The Little Mermaid.

TO REMEMBER

Nearly 500,000 tickets sold in one week for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which places the film in line with Bumblebee, the latest installment in the franchise, released in 2018, but slightly below. It is lower than the very first opuses of the saga on the other hand: “far from the first week with 1.3 M of entries of The Hidden Face of the Moon in 2011, that with 1.2 M of The Age of the extinction in 2014, at 1.1 M from La Revanche in 2009”, remind our colleagues from Boxoffice Pro.

Transformers 7 grabs the top spot of the week, ahead of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, which remains at a high level, registering nearly 400,000 additional entries. The animated film is very close to becoming a millionaire.

The little Mermaid, Disney’s “Live” remake, meanwhile, already crossed one million this Wednesday, with a total of 1.2 million admissions in the third week. FastX goes up a notch by exceeding 2 million admissions after a month of operation.

Few new releases find a place in this Top 10 of the week, with the exception of Transformers 7, and two French films, hands of gold by Isabelle Mergault, and Wow! of Bruno Podalydès, respectively 6th and 8th, who both started smoothly.
