It starts strong for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania! This third part is in line with the success of the previous opuses: it starts a little less well than episode 2, but better than the first. In detail, the first had started at 102,010 admissions in 2015 for its first day in France, the second at 158,825 admissions in 2018, and the third at 134,463 admissions, this Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
Good start also for the second in the ranking, the comedy A happy man carried by two actors accustomed to familiarity with the heights of the French box office: Fabrice Luchini and Catherine Frot brought together nearly 40,000 curious people for this film directed by Tristan Séguela . This is the best start to the director’s career, ahead of Doctor.
We should also note the fine performance of Kirill Serebrennikov’s new film: Tchaikovsky’s Wife is the filmmaker’s best start in France, with 13,303 admissions, ahead of Leto (10,042 admissions in 2018). Tchaikovsky’s Wife was in competition at Cannes in May 2022.
