Boy seriously injured – parcel deliverer rammed students (6) with his car

In Hof near Salzburg, a student was hit by a parcel delivery truck on Monday afternoon and seriously injured. The 6-year-old was walking home with a friend when he was hit by the 22-year-old in front of a grocery store.

The driver may well have overlooked the boy: despite emergency braking, the student may have been dragged along for several meters. The 6-year-old was subsequently trapped and had to be rescued by the Hof fire brigade. The boy was taken to the Salzburg University Hospital with the “Christopherus 6” rescue helicopter.
