Brian Laundrie (23) returned home from a road trip without his girlfriend Gabby Petito († 22). Since then, he has been acting very suspiciously, and disappeared without a trace last week. Even when his girlfriend’s body was found – and the police officially suspect a homicide – Brian Laundrie was only searched for as a missing person and as a “person of interest.”
Only now is the 23-year-old being searched for by means of an arrest warrant. A federal jury has indicted Brian Laundrie in connection with the disappearance of his fiancée Gabby Petito, the FBI has confirmed.
Federal detention warrant in connection with Gabby’s death
On Twitter, the FBI said in Denver: “On September 22, 2021, the Wyoming District Court issued a federal detention warrant for Brian Christopher Laundrie on the basis of a federal grand jury indictment relating to the activities of Mr. Laundrie for the death of Gabrielle Petito relates. ”

With this news, however, it is not entirely clear whether Laundrie was charged with her death or with other possible crimes related to her death.
Officials have been scouring the nature reserve for Laundrie for days
Law enforcement officers and even specialized diving teams are looking for Laundrie in a Florida wildlife sanctuary. He has been missing since Tuesday September 14th. That day he announced to his family that he was going to be heading to Carlton Preserve, which covers over 25,000 hectares. (euc)
