(CercleFinance.com) – BP acquired AMPLY Power, a provider of electric vehicle charging and energy management services, in December 2021. AMPLY Power has seen continued growth helping fleets accelerate the transition to EVs . Today the brand becomes BP Pulse and aims to expand into the fleet electrification sector on the American continent and beyond.
The decision to roll out the BP Pulse brand follows the successful launch of the brand in the UK in 2020. Worldwide, BP Pulse operates around 16,000 charging points with the ambition to install 100,000 by 2030.
Vic Shao, founder and CEO of AMPLY, will become president of bp pulse’s fleet division for the Americas.
“The introduction of the bp pulse brand will bring continued investment across America to help bp and the nation move toward electrification,” said Dave Lawler, president of BP America.
