(CercleFinance.com) – bp announces the official appointment, by its board of directors, of Kate Thomson to the position of chief financial officer (CFO) and member of the board, with immediate effect. She has served as interim CFO since September 2023.
‘Her experience in financial management and her performance as interim CFO have clearly demonstrated her aptitude to become the permanent financial director of bp,’ comments its president Helge Lund.
Before taking on the role of interim CFO, Kate Thomson was senior vice president of finance for manufacturing and operations at bp. She joined the British energy group in 2004 to exercise various financial functions.
