Your hair is not long enough for elaborate braided hairstyles? No problem! With these simple braided hairstyles for medium-length hair, you are guaranteed to attract everyone's attention.

1. French braid

We find the French braid très chic – which is also ideal for medium-length hair!

  1. Divide three strands of equal size on top of the head.
  2. Alternate the outer strands over the middle one. During braiding, you keep taking individual strands from the side to the outer strands and braiding them in this way. Continue to the desired length.

tip: The French braid looks very pretty at the back of the head and on the sides!

2. The waterfall hairstyle

With the waterfall hairstyle, you braid a wreath around your head and still wear your hair open!

  1. Divide three strands of equal size and braid a piece by placing the two outer strands one after the other over the middle one.
  2. Then drop the strand at the front and pick up a new strand underneath on either side of the braid.
  3. Continue like this to the desired location and secure the end with a thin elastic band.

3. Pull-through braid

Looks like a braided hairstyle – but really isn't one! The pull-through braid is super easy once you have the technology. All you need is a lot of thin elastic bands.

  1. Pull the top hair into a pigtail and secure it with a hair tie. Bring the braid forward.
  2. Take two strands from the sides and bring them together in another braid just below the other. Attach them too.
  3. Divide the upper braid into two strands and place the lower braid over it (if necessary, pin it in place with a hair clip for a short time).
  4. Bring two strands together from the side with the two strands of the split braid and secure them with a hair elastic. Continue this technique until you reach your desired length.
  5. When you get to the nape of the neck, you don't need to add any more hair, but continue with the existing strands.
  6. At the end, pull the strands apart with your fingers so that there is more volume.

4. Snakebraid

Looks like a small work of art, but it consists of a simple braid!

  1. Part a strand of hair and separate it into three equal sections.
  2. Braid to the ends of your hair and secure the braid with a thin hair tie.
  3. Take the strands from the side and carefully slide them upwards – hold the middle strand firmly!
  4. Secure the braid.

tip: You can braid the snake braid on both sides and combine it into a wreath at the back of the head.

5. Accent braids

With the Accent Braids, two thin braids frame the face. This can be styled in no time and is also ideal for medium-length hair!

  1. To do this, simply part a middle part, separate two thin strands on both sides and simply braid through to the ends of the hair.
  2. The hair can stay open and does not have to be fastened with a hair elastic – this is how it looks nice and casual.
