Brasilo-Kicker – Pinzgau is hoping for more samba performances

West League kicker Gabriel Messias is on everyone’s lips this spring. The Brazilian feels very comfortable in Saalfelden. His club, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden, is now looking for work for the 22-year-old dancer.

The two shot FC Pinzgau to victory in the State Cup final, and the fans are thrilled by both their athleticism and their character: We’re talking about Gabriel Messias Reino Teixeira and Joao Pedro Gomes da Silva. The latter let his contacts play in his home country of Brazil in the winter and organized the signing of his friend. This partially showed what he was made of. In nine West League games, Messias netted four times and also scored two cup goals. “I trained a lot in Brazil before coming here. That’s why I deserve to score goals,” says the cheerful 22-year-old. He feels right at home in his new home: “I’m happy to be here and with the city, it’s very beautiful.” “Gemma, gemma” In Saalfelden, fellow countryman Pedro is the most important person to relate to: “I’m teaching this boy everything and trying to to help him too. He’s like a brother to me.” The South Americans live in a shared apartment with teammate Felix Adjei. Which is important for Messiah because he doesn’t know many German words apart from “thank you”, “please” and “Gemma, gemma”. But learning the language is less important to him than developing on the pitch. The 22-year-old wants to become a professional. According to Joao Pedro, he definitely has what it takes: “He’s still young, but he still has a lot to do. He’s working a lot on himself.” Coach Hannes Schützinger confirms this, but he also recognizes shortcomings: “He still needs to improve tactically and physically. But he has integrated very well and is a very pleasant character.” Someone who, especially after victories, it is immediately clear which country he comes from. “If we get three points, we’ll be happy to dance,” is the occasional samba performance in Pinzgau after successes. However, these could soon come to an end. Gabriel Messias’ tourist visa is about to expire. However, the club wants to keep him. “We are currently looking for a job for him. Then he could stay with a work permit,” reports section leader Hannes Rottenspacher, who would be happy about an extension of the Samba deposits. Meanwhile, the FCPS loses Denis Kahrimanovic. The 24-year-old is moving to Austria Salzburg. Adonis Spica could soon switch to the Saalfelden youth team and coach the U18s in the future. “It looks very good,” confirms Rottenspacher. However, he is still looking for a suitable trainer for the combat team.
