Let’s go, Brave 1.45.113 has just been launched as a stable version. This new update brings many improvements and adds some welcome features to the Navigator respectful of privacy.

If you’re already using Brave, browser version 1.45.113 is for you. Available for a few hours in stable version, the latter begins its large-scale deployment and may have already been downloaded to you in the background. Otherwise, it is possible to force the installation by going, as usual, to “brave://settings/help” or by going to the Menu of the browser, then clicking on “About Brave “. Here is what this update brings new.

Copying a URL cleanly becomes easier

Along with the usual bug fixes and customary security tweaks, Brave 1.45.113 brings several handy new features. Among them, the addition of a Copy Clean Link feature which, as its name suggests, allows you to copy/paste URL addresses properly. The principle is simple: Brave automatically “cleans up” the URL by removing any superfluous elements. This new feature is accessible directly from the contextual menu by right-clicking on the address bar.

Another interesting new feature is the improved privacy-friendly translation tool introduced in a previous version of Brave. This tool now supports much larger volume languages. In all, 108 languages are thus supported… against only 15 previously, specifies Ghacks.

Tired of cookie pop-ups? Brave takes care of it!

Brave 1.45.113 also has the merit of (optionally) saving us from cookie settings pop-ups. Through EasyList Cookie List Filter, Brave will offer to block these pop-ups automatically when opening web pages. This function can be activated and deactivated from the “Protections” section of the browser settings, then under the “Content filters” tab. Then tick “EasyList-Cookie List”.

For the rest, the new version of Brave also brings some additional novelties concerning the import of data from the Chrome Beta and Dev channels. It also allows support for themes for Speedreader, and brings a small additional layer of security to the functions of the browser relating to cryptocurrencies, in particular concerning the Brave Wallet.

Brave

  • Respect and protection of privacy
  • Neat interface and ergonomics
  • The fastest on the market

Fast and pleasant to use, Brave also stands out for its particular philosophy in terms of remuneration for Web publishers via the famous BAT, the cryptocurrency collected by users by browsing with so-called acceptable advertisements. Unlike Vivaldi, Brave hardly stands out from Chrome from an aesthetic or ergonomic point of view. We will blame the lack of customization options and the few bugs on the youth of the software.
