With over 50 million active users, the browser Brave constantly pushes to secure its community’s data on the web. After the iOS version, the company says it is looking for Android volunteers to test a vpn integrated into Navigatorduring a closed beta.

It’s been almost two years since Brave partnered with the Guardian service to bring Firewall + VPN to iPhone and Apple tablet users. In France, the monthly subscription costs 10.49 euros per month. If it is controlled from the Brave browser, it extends to the entire smartphone.

A substantial study

The major difference between the fleet of iPhones and Android smartphones lies in the number of distinct devices. To make a fair assessment, Brave says it wants to select users to test as many parameters as possible. The principle is simple: an application via a form with four boxes (accessible in the link in source). Everyone must fill in their e-mail address, the model of the Android telephone used, the version of Android and their country of residence.

The lucky ones will be able to experience the service in a closed beta for about thirty days. They will have to communicate their feelings, report bugs and respond to surveys. For others who are not selected, personal data will be deleted after one week.

It would make sense for Brave to roll out its iOS Firewall + VPN service to Android devices, although no information has been announced. The main goals are to block unwanted network connections, choose your geographic location, maintain online anonymity, and use a VPN tunnel with secure encryption (IKEv2 in this case).

No exit window is communicated by the browser, but it seems that the project is in its last phase. It could be out in the next few months.

Brave

  • Accessible to inexperienced Internet users and suitable for a more demanding audience
  • Impeccable private data security
  • Willingness to break free from existing monopolies (Brave Search, Talk, News, Ads)

Brave seriously competes with the greats. The developers focus on features that are more than important with regard to the management of personal data online. From this strategy came an independent search engine, a fair sharing program for advertising revenue that respects privacy, secure communication tools and innovative navigation functions.
