Gamers and other strategists know that this year they will find Tomoya Asano at the helm of the highly anticipated Triangle Strategy. But the producer of the Bravely Default series has taken it a step further.
Like most of his contemporaries and colleagues, the famous eponymous boss of Team Asano bowed to the exercise of the greeting card, just to start the year 2022 … even if it means surprising. Via the official account of the series Bravely Default, the producer has indeed hinted that the next few months could be more animated than expected:

Curiosity is a Bravely Default
Paf, the word is dropped like a paving stone in the pond: several games of Team Asano could therefore be released in 2022, even if only the T-RPG Triangle Strategy would be expected. The return of Bravely Default seems unlikely, as Asano said a handful of weeks ago:
As for the Bravely Default sequel, we’re only in the planning stages, and I think development should take another three to four years.
All eyes then logically turn to Octopath Traveler, Asano’s other hit series, but his fall 2020 statements claimed that a sequel to the 2018 RPG could not be discussed “for quite a while.” . Let’s go good.
But we should not too quickly forget that Masaaki Hayasaka, the producer of Octopath Traveler, is now in charge of the remake of a cult J-RPG among the cult J-RPGs: Dragon Quest III HD 2D. The game announced in 2021 by Yuji Horii himself has not yet been dated near or far. Could we (re) discover the favorite episode of Japanese gamers in the year of his 33 years? We can only hope so … Unless the surprise is total!
