A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death and two men seriously injured during the night from Saturday to Sunday during a brawl on the sidelines of a party in the village of Crépol, a commune in Drôme. Christophe’s daughter, 17, was present at the ball. For Europe 1, the father recounts his astonishment.

The party turned into a nightmare in Drôme. Saturday evening, in the village of Crépol, nearly 400 young people gathered for a big ball. Around 1:30 a.m., around ten young people armed with knives tried to infiltrate the evening. A fight then broke out and a 16-year-old boy was stabbed. He dies from his injuries and two other people are in a state of absolute emergency. Christophe’s daughter, 17, was present at this ball. For Europe 1, he recounts his astonishment.

“A monster of kindness”

“She went out with three, four friends. It was the dad of one of my daughter’s friends, who lived in Crépol, who brought them to the ball. And he went to pick them up around two in the morning. When he “When he arrived, the village hall was closed. They didn’t want to let him in,” he explains. Christophe specifies that to protect the people present on site, they locked a lot of people in the village hall. “Around thirty people arrived, we panicked a bit. The bouncers seized knives,” laments the father.

The young 16-year-old teenager, who died after several stab wounds, was close to Christophe’s daughter. “She was at school with this young man when he was in middle school. And her best friend, her sister at heart, was this young man’s girlfriend. A rugby player, a monster of kindness, a teenager at heart in my meaning”, defines Christophe, touched by the affair. An investigation has been opened for intentional homicide and attempted homicide by an organized gang.
