Brawl Stars update, summary of Brawltalk 2022

The new Brawl Stars update is fast approaching and with it many changes and content unveiled for the next season during the “Brawltalk” of February 26, 2022.

The new Brawl Stars season, “Biodome”

Native region of champions like Rosa, Wally and Béa, the biodome will be at the heart of this season’s clashes. For the occasion, 2 new game modes, “Payload” and “Wipe Out” are making their debut with easy-to-understand gameplay.

New “Payload” mode

In payload, you have to bring your convoy from point A to point B. To make it move, just position your champion next to it.

The convoys of the 2 teams are present at the same time on the map. It will therefore be necessary to balance your actions between escorting your convoy and preventing your opponents from doing so.

New “Wipe Out” mode

The “Wipe Out” mode offers a simple objective, kill 8 enemy champions in 2 min. Your team will therefore have to be very careful to defend their weaker teammates or risk losing quickly.

If 8 champions are not dead after 2 min, the team that has defeated the most opposing champions wins.

Eve, the new Brawlpass champion

At the center of this update, Eve enters the Brawl Stars arena with a unique power. Consisting of 3 eggs, its basic attack has different sizes and damage that it launches in a straight line at a great distance.

On the super attack side, it summons an egg which, if not killed, splits into 3 parts which rush towards the closest opponents. If they manage to hit an opponent, they explode and inflict poison damage.

What makes Eve unique is her ability to “fly” over the map with her ship acting as a passive. She is therefore able to fly over the water and the holes present on the map, offering her the possibility of substantial movement.

The changes of the Brawl Stars update

This new “Brawltalk” video brings with it many major updates to Brawl Stars. Whether you are a casual player, engaged in the Club League or in the Stars Cup, they aim to improve your progress and gaming experience.

Forward Survivor Mode for Beginners:

Brawl Stars Survivor or Battle Royal game mode now defaults to new players.

Overall easier to understand and more fun to start, it takes the place of the “Razia of gems” mode.

A more picky star cut:

Now the progress of the star cup leagues now takes into account the victories and defeats of each game.

So in case of victory at 2-0, you will win more points, conversely if you lose at 1-2 you will lose fewer points.

The last day of the boosted club league:

The club league tickets during the 3rd day of confrontation go from 4 to 6. Thus, the objective is to allow the poorly ranked clubs during the previous days to be able to make a difference and move up the rankings.

Champion upgrade points purchasable in the Club Shop no longer have a purchase limit. It is possible to level up your champions as far as your club league tokens allow.

Many skins are coming to Brawl Stars

As usual, the Brawl Stars teams have many new champion skins in store for you in this update. Whether they are related to the Brawlpass or simply unlockable in the store, here are all the skins already announced.

The “Spiky Eve” and “Rico Luciole” skins are the first rewards linked to the brawlpass. Rico is unlockable upon obtaining the pass while Spiky Eve is the final reward. For its part, “Bo wasp” will enter as the skin of the star cup season.

The more “basic” skins of the season unveiled during Brawltalk are 6 in number. They will be available in the store throughout the course of the season.

To celebrate Easter, the exclusive “grom bunny” skin has been added alongside Bull Lion, the new club store reward. And to finish, new golden and silver skins are revealed on the champions Wally, Colonel Medor, Buzz and Surge.

Less exclusive Brawl Stars skins for this update

Major change on the skin side, all those of the new season are normally reserved temporarily to those who have the pass. The skins will therefore be available later in the store.

This change only affects upcoming skins and does not affect all other exclusive skins from previous seasons.

Return of Esport with the Brawl Stars Championship

Minor changes in the update

To go along with the announcements of new content, a few changes are to be expected from this new season. Rotation time between restricted area, heist, and loot modes changed from hourly to daily.

New Gadgets and Equipment Changes:

Dozens of new gadgets will also be added in this Brawl Stars update, without specifying which champion for the moment.

Gadgets are champion upgrades that you can unlock in the store or boxes when you level up a champion to level 7.

There is also a slight change to the champion modifier that “heals the champion when he is immobile”, deemed too unhelpful. Now it changes to “increase healing received by 50%”.

Appearance of Custom Champion Points:

Customizable Champion Points are now available in boxes. This makes it easier to level up specific champions. These points were already available through the brawlpass and seasonal trophy rewards.

Returning Brawl Stars modes and updated map editor

Return of “Basketbrawl” mode:

Returning as a seasonal mode, basketbrawl is quite similar to “brawlball”, your team must score a basket by competing for the position of a single ball on the field.

“Out of Game” and “Heist” game modes are now available in the Map Builder.
