Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will travel to the city of Santos (southeast) on Tuesday morning to pay his last respects to legendary footballer Pelé, who died Thursday at age 82, the presidency announced.
Lula, sworn in as president on Sunday, will thus make the first trip of his term outside of Brasilia, to return “tribute to Pele“, whose coffin is exposed in the stadium of Santos, “and in solidarity with his family, Tuesday at 9 a.m.“, specified the presidency.
