Breath of the Wild: Zelda fans can do what Nintendo fails to do

Hyrule is bigger than ever in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can feel lonely as a single link – a YouTuber therefore made it his task to provide a multiplayer mode and now it’s done.

YouTuber and streamer Point Crow offered a $10,000 prize in 2021. The money should be given to those who program a playable multiplayer mode for the switch game. The prize money has found one or two owners.

Play Zelda: Breath of the Wild in multiplayer soon

Many players have asked for it, but have not received it from Nintendo until now: a multiplayer mode in Breath of the Wild. This game is so extensive that secrets and mysteries are still being solved today. It would be nice if you didn’t have to do it alone – that’s what Point Crow thought at the time.

This one is now $10,000 poorer, but gains two developers because it’s in partnership with AlexMangue and Sweet a working multiplayer option for the Nintendo game has emerged. A test phase is currently underway, but it is emphasized that it can still take months until the mod is perfect.

This is not surprising, after all, the developers have set themselves a mammoth task. There were a few challenges to overcome. All players’ actions must affect each other’s game, everyone must be able to play at the same time, and the mod must be available to everyone for free. According to Point Crow, that’s almost done:

“You will be able to download and play the mod for FREE,” the YouTuber said. However, in order to play it, you must have a legally purchased, paid for and owned copy of Breath of the Wild.

The multiplayer option should be coming soon. When she’s done, she’ll be on the Point Crow discord for free download to disposal.
