“Reports that the Tretten bridge has collapsed. A heavy goods vehicle and a private car have fallen into the water,” local police said on Twitter. “Not clear how many people may have been involved, not clear if there is human damage,” she added.

All local rescue personnel are mobilized, she said. Inaugurated in 2012, the Tretten Bridge is a wooden structure 148 meters long and 10 meters wide which crosses the Gudbrandsdalslågen river on a secondary road. It has two lanes for vehicles and a sidewalk.
