One can never have enough holidays. 2023 will finally mean us well again: If you use the bridging days wisely, you can stretch out your holidays significantly.
For people hungry for vacation and those looking for relaxation, this year and last year turned out to be rather a disappointment: Many public holidays fell on a weekend – not only the Day of German Unity and Christmas Day, which in 2022 are both on a Sunday.
In 2023 things will finally look better again! Things start off badly at first, since New Year’s Day is celebrated on a Sunday. After that, however, the year increases until the furious finale at Christmas, which could not be better. In any case, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the 2023 bridging days, because those who plan cleverly can extend their vacation significantly.
Holidays and bridge days 2023: The tops
Labour Day May 1st is finally showing itself to be employee-friendly again – in 2023 it is on a Monday, so that we can enjoy a long weekend practically free of charge or take an extensive spring break straight away: If you submit 9 days, you can travel for up to 16 days. And that too Day of German unity October 3rd is fun: it falls on a Tuesday, so we can have 4 days off with just one day off. Then we can really celebrate Christmas: Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, so we have 4 days off without having to take a single day off.

- World Children’s Day: Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 (only Thuringia) – bridge day on Monday and Tuesday
- Day of German unity: Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 – bridge day on Monday
- Reformation Day: Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 (only Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig Holstein, Thuringia) – bridge day on Monday
